A Graduated Response – Preventing Exclusion (link to document)
This document has been developed by the Sutton Local Area which details aims and principles, as well as a range of interventions and support available, which may be used in the prevention of exclusion, and to provide early help and support. Schools should have regard to the Graduated Response to ensure all reasonable steps are being taken to provide support and intervention, and have been taken prior to the last resort of permanent exclusion.
