Sutton Virtual School and the Children in Care Council, joined up over the summer to hold a fun day for the children, young people and families we work with. We welcomed over 20 families, who participated in creating some art pieces, tested their aim with a penalty shootout, tried their hand at learning some circus skills and had lots of fun on the bouncy castle and in the ball bit.
It was a rare day over the course of summer 2021, where we had nice, sunny weather and we were lucky enough to enjoy some ice creams and McDonald’s, High Street, Sutton kindly donated some bottled water and melon balls for all to enjoy.
It was a lovely, entertaining day and gave everyone the chance to come together as a community to celebrate after a tough 18 months and look forward to the year ahead for future activities. There was also a prize draw and three lucky young people won raffle some love2shop vouchers to spend on whatever they choose.
The day was also supported by some of the Children in Care Councils, Children’s Champions and by Cllr Batt and Cllr Heron.
