“Hi, my name is Jodie Sills and I’m a speech and language therapist at Cognus in Sutton and I have nominated my colleague, Lisa Ogden, for a Giving Voice Award. Lisa is a speech and language therapist who has worked within the London borough of Sutton’s Youth Offending service since 2010. She also chairs the Criminal Justice and Secure Settings Clinical Excellence network. Lisa’s provided training about the speech, language and communication needs of young people in the criminal justice system both nationally and internationally, including the police and court staff. She’s passionate about supporting others with understanding ways to communicate with and engage young people in criminal justice systems, as well as making information accessible to them. Thank you Lisa for your hard work and dedication to raising the profile of communication needs in this cohort of young people.”
