The Traveller Education Service discovered a pupil that had very poor attendance due to travelling regularly between two different areas. They liaised between the pupil’s main school in another borough and a school in Sutton and were able to dual register the pupil at both schools which has resulted in a massive improvement in that pupil’s overall attendance. Both schools are in regular contact and working well together to ensure the pupil is in school every day and no longer missing out on their essential education.
