The Traveller Education Service works closely with schools, families and the Attendance Service to promote the importance of good attendance.
One particular family that we have worked continuously with to encourage good attendance and engagement with school has made a massive improvement. The Year 3 pupil’s attendance so far this academic year is over 90% compared to just 70% last year. As a result of this, their focus in class and academic progress have both improved and they are growing in confidence every day.
Mum attended parents evening and was very pleased with how well her child is doing and the wonderful things the class teacher had to say.
