Cognus EDI Competition Winners
To mark Black History Month, Cognus invited young people and Sutton Schools to get involved with our EDI Artwork Competition. The aim was to create a piece of art that illustrates what EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) means to them. We are pleased to announce the 3 winners: Rii from Devonshire Primary, Rishi from Wilsons and Neville from Carew Academy. Each winner received a £50 amazon voucher and it was a real pleasure to meet them and hear about the inspiration behind their pieces. It was also great to hear about all the work going on in schools and at home to better understand and celebrate difference.
The pieces will not only be up in the Cognus offices, but all the artwork submitted to the competition will be on display at Sutton Library during Race Equality Week (7th – 13th February 2022) and half term (14th – 20th February 2022).
