Cognus Education Safeguarding Team get involved in Christmas Activities for Families

During the month of December, the Education Safeguarding Team were lucky enough to be involved in a range of different Christmas activities for families.

On Tuesday 3rd December 2024, we attended the Sutton Music Trust Autistic Youth Choir Concert.  The children put on a great show and there were lots of smiles and laughter.

This choir is everything to my child.  They have grown so much in confidence, and it is a space where they can really be themselves (Parent, December 2024)

On Saturday 14th December 2024, we were invited along to the Christmas Family Event at Tweeddale Children’s Centre.

Everyone has been so friendly and there is so much for us all to do.  My child would not have been able to visit Santa this year if it were not for this event – the food is fantastic too!

On Monday 16th December 2024, we were a part of the Cognus Christmas event for families at Cantium House.

I have seen Santa, coloured in Christmas pictures and I have even got my own ‘worry worm’.  I have had so much fun!

All events were heart-warming and a fitting example of communities coming together to provide fun activities for our families.

Thank you to everyone involved and we are already looking forward to December 2025!
