Sutton Council and Cognus have issued a joint statement to update the public regarding ongoing communication with parents and carers.
Following February’s statement regarding Cognus Board minutes, the Council and Cognus have issued the below statement to update the public regarding ongoing communication with parents and carers:
“Understanding and responding to families’ feedback continues to be a priority for both Cognus and Sutton Council. Ongoing communication to inform and assure families on services is central to the multi-agency approach between Cognus, the local authority, and other local area partners. In response to recent queries, frequently asked questions have been developed and shared publicly. We recognise that sharing information with parents and carers about developments in special educational needs and disabilities provision is and will remain an important priority. That is why we are introducing thematic information sessions in collaboration with Sutton Parent Carers Forum. These sessions will be on a range of themes developed through parent and carer feedback. We place great value on our partnership with parents, carers and young people and this will continue to drive the delivery of and further improvements to quality services for Sutton’s children.”
