We want the Local Offer to reflect what our young people want. Students at Orchard Hill College took part in a workshop run by KIDS, to help improve the Local Offer. During the workshop, friends and relationships were shown to be the very important for young people. Meeting friends, ‘stop being single’ and having fun were talked about. A new Preparing for Adulthood page is being developed which will include these topics.
Following feedback that the young people did not understand some of the words, we have introduced some Easy-Read Guides. It was a fun and useful day for the Local Offer – many thanks to the young people involved!
