Here are a comprehensive range of workshop sessions currently on offer from the Prince’s Trust to support young people between ages 16-30.

How to Get Into Animation with Bluezoo (16-30)
Do you love art and design? Have you ever considered a career in Animation? Bluezoo, a BAFTA award winning animation production company, will be taking us through everything you need to know about getting into this creative industry. See poster attached.

Strengths, Skills and Career Planning (16-30)
Do you know what your strengths and skills are? How you can communicate these to employers? What career options would suit my skills and strengths? Our Prince’s Trust Mentor, Claire Sutherland, takes us through the journey of answering these questions. See poster attached.

Welcome Session (16-30)
We are hosting weekly welcome sessions for young people who want to find out more information about The Prince’s Trust and our opportunities. These will be held through Microsoft Teams in a video conference format. Young people can watch the presentation and get involved as much as they want. Afterwards, a staff member will follow up 1:1 and progress them onto our programmes.

Get Started in Boxing (16-30)
Each day will cover a boxing technique, building up an individual’s skill level. We will also include boxing-related fitness and a non-physical session on basic nutrition or guest speakers from real boxers and coaches. Young people can also look forward to discussions around what it takes to begin a career as a boxer and learning about life skills. See poster attached.

How to Write a Cover Letter (16-30)
Writing a cover letter is a skill that can make the difference between you being invited to interview or not. Join Prince’s Trust Mentor, Graham
Rowlands, to learn about how to write a cover letter so you can give employers what they are looking for and help you get to the interview stage. See poster attached.

Got a business in mind or want to explore an idea? From training and mentoring support to funding and resources, we’re here to help you become the best entrepreneur you can be! We’ll tell you how we can support you and, if you’re still keen, we’ll also invite you onto our four-day interactive workshop.

How to Get Into Tech (16-30)
Michael Olatokun (Tech Engineer), founder of Skillstruct and Prince’s Trust Mentor, will be running an online workshop looking at the Tech industry, entry level routes and how to break into this growing industry.

Get Started with Spoken Word (16-30)
Want to learn new skills in Spoken Word? During this programme, you will practice rhyming techniques, using metaphors, building confidence and meeting new people. There is also an opportunity to gain an Arts Award once you’ve finished. See poster attached.

Employability Skills with Apple (16-30)
Apple, a corporate partner of the Trust, are offering a unique employability session. Areas of discussion will include; how to stand out when telling your story, writing a great CV, networking 101, and interviewing for success.

Getting Started as a Freelancer (16-30)
Filmmaker Tim Butcher joins us to explore what being a freelancer involves; answering questions such as “How do I become a freelancer?”, “What skills do I need?” and “What are the challenges of being a freelancer?”

Interview Skills with Barclays
In this workshop with Barclays you will learn the fundamentals of how to give a great answer to an interview question. We will cover how to structure an answer ready for the real thing!
