The aims of these supervision sessions are:
- To provide a safe and reflective space where DSLs can share ideas with colleagues;
- To reflect on practice including the challenges of this role and ways in which complex issues can be resolved;
- To provide both professional and peer support around cases and general wellbeing.
Sessions are facilitated by two skilled practitioners; Cognus’ Education Safeguarding Manager, who would provide knowledge and expertise in the role of DSLs from a practice point of view and supervision experience, alongside a senior member of the Educational Psychology Service who would bring expertise from a psychological perspective and supervision experience.
DSLs attend a one-hour session per month throughout the academic year (there are a total of nine sessions) and groups would consist of approximately ten DSLs. The cost, per place, for the whole academic year, with each DSL attending nine sessions between September and July would be:
Sutton Schools and Settings – £380 per place.
Independent Schools, Colleges, Out of Borough – £500 per place.

Sessions are facilitated on request by either Cognus’ Education Safeguarding Manager who would provide knowledge and expertise in the role of DSLs from a practice point of view and supervision experience or Cognus’ Principal Education Psychologist, who would bring expertise from a psychological perspective and supervision experience.
DSLs attend one half-an-hour session per half-term throughout the academic year (there would be a total of six sessions). The cost for these sessions would be:
Sutton Schools and Settings – £350 in total.
Independent Schools, Colleges, Out of Borough – £400 in total.
These sessions can be booked as and when required.

Sutton Schools and Settings – £70 for a 30-minute virtual session.
